I have Softmaker Office 2018 on an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) with MacOS Catalina 10.15.7
I have created a template for letters (myletters.tmvx) which works fine, except that the header appears at the top of every page of a multi-page letter.
Is there a way to instruct TextMaker to display the header only on the first page of a document?
Thank you.
Creating a first-page-only letter header
Re: Creating a first-page-only letter header
Go to Format > Chapter, tab "Chapter", and check "Different first page". Then go to View > Master pages. Your letter head should be on the first master page only. If you want to, put a secondary letter head for follow-up pages on the second master page.
An alternate way is to insert a chapter break after the first page.

Thank you for your help.
Re: Creating a first-page-only letter header
display the header only on the first page in TextMaker, go to “Page Layout” and select “Different first page” in the header/footer settings. This will allow the header to appear only on the first page of your document.stefanmaine wrote: ↑Tue Oct 20, 2020 5:35 pm I have Softmaker Office 2018 on an iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) with MacOS Catalina 10.15.7
