(Solved) How do I make Softmaker's user forum "remember" a new password?

I received a new password by email. It works but it is not "remembered". I have to enter it every time I want to enter the forum.

This is probably a browser issue because the remember me option works on cookies, please check if cookies are allowed in your browser and check this problem with other browsers.

My new password not "remembered" by Softmaker on my phone either.

I tried using Edge Browser. I then logged into Softmaker User Forum using the new password. This worked. I was asked by Edge if I wanted to save the new password. I confirmed, and then the new password was finally successfully "remembered" by Softmaker.
Next, I uninstalled and then reinstalled Google Chrome browser, my default browser. Opened the Softmaler User Forum, logged in using the new password, got the same question, confirmed, and voilá! the saved password could be "remembered". So the problem was solved by refreshing Google Chrome. Thanks for putting me on the right track!
