Database issue

Post by colonel_panic »

Hi

I have installed TextMaker 2021. The document editing works well, but the database module is completely unreliable. It is constantly crashing, to the point where for two days of solid work we have only been able to open three records.

Now, whenever we try and open Textmaker, we are invited to send a crash report. This is just starting the program, not opening any documents.

I'm really disappointed. All other companies are moving away from desktop databases, but for little companies like us cloud databases just don't make any sense. The database module in TM 2018 was useless but at least it was reliable. This one is useless and unreliable.

Is there a way to downgrade a license to TM 2018?

Thanks for reporting this problem. Please send your crash report so that we can analyze that.

When you open TextMaker and it asks you to send a crash report is because last time it crashed for which sending crash report is pending.

You can uninstall SoftMaker Office 2021 and install SoftMaker Office 2018 or you can install them both also without any problem.

SoftMaker Office 2021 is going to get next update soon, most probably this week, you can check after that update also.
