Path not found for network items

Good Day,

Currently when trying to open items (by double clicking the file) which are stored on network file share we are getting a path not found error as shown in the attached image. However, we are able to open the file successfully if we open TextMaker or PlanMaker and browse to the file location.

Furthermore, when accessing TextMaker for the first time, a lot of random files are showing up in different location (Desktop, Fileshare) depending on where the file was saved. This is also seen in the attached image


Any assistance in resolving these issues is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reporting this problem. Please share the associated file of TextMaker 2021 in which you are getting this problem so that we can do further investigation for resolution. Also, share your sminfo file which you can generate by clicking on '?' > About > Write system information.

Please let us know what type of network sharing you have done, is this Windows network sharing or some specific cloud drive?

The issue is happening with all files. It can be a new file which we created with Textmaker or an existing MS Office file.

Please see attached sminfo file as requested

Our file share is a role in Windows Server 2016

As you mentioned, these icons are creating not only on network shared path but on the local drive also? For example, if the file you are opening is on Desktop or on Documents etc then also TextMaker creating these icons?

Also, please let us know if only TextMaker creating these icons or Planmaker and Presentation also doing the same?

The issue is happening with text maker and plan maker for the path not found.

All our clients have folder redirection enabled so they are essentially always working off their file share and not the local computer. We have seen the icons on the desktop, directly off the file share and also on a usb drive. In addition to the icons, we are also seeing language folders.
