Bibliography import

Post by mgrinsven »

I am trying to import a biblopgraphy from Zotero into TextMaker, but i am not really managing to do so. I export the bibliography from Zotero into csv format. Then i import the generated csv into TextMaker. If i look at the resulting database, the entries are there. However if i want to insert a field, the only option i get is to edit the database.

Any suggestions on how to get a bibliography from Zotero in TextMaker?

After you convert the CSV into a DBF file, you should go to References | Bibliography | Manage | Use existing database

PS: Our next major version of SoftMaker Office will support Zotero. Stay tuned!

So if i understand correctly, i cannot use the CSV as existing database?
Because i imported the CSV by using References | Bibliography | Manager | Use existing database. There it supports the CSV format.
The import goes well, however when i select insert field (in dutch veld invoegen) i only get the option edit database.

Anyway i am getting a lot of problems lately with Textmaker. Somehow dead keys are not working. So i cannot even enter a ë. Weird stuff......

You can use CSV files as a source for a Bibliography, but won't be able to edit it within TextMaker.
However, you'll be able to edit in PlanMaker.

You can use CSV files as sources for Bibliographies. However, you won't be able to edit them inside Textmaker, but you can inside PlanMaker.

Regadinrg, your other issue, I replied to it today:

That's a shame. It should. Right now the way Bibliographies are handle by TM, is one of those things I don't quite like.

Zotero offers BibTex import, thereby making your citations available to (future) TextMaker.
