Should I uninstall all Microsoft apps on Mac ?

Should I uninstall all my Microsoft Office Apps on my MAC now that I'm using SoftMaker?
Or do I need to keep them on my laptop for any reason at all?
I.e., Will I need the MS apps for anything that others send to me in MS Office format?
I don't want to uninstall anything that will cause problems later. Thanks.

Hi, you may uninstall or not. It's up to you. It doesn't matter nor it causes any issues.

Thanks. I just noticed that when I try to open up a previous Word doc then Word automatically opens - not my SoftMaker app. So perhaps if I uninstall all my MS Office apps it will automatically open all previous Word (doc, excel, ppt)?

Yes you may uninstall Microsoft Office, or you can right-click a TextMaker/PlanMaker/Presentation file and select "open with", then select "Other" and afterward select TextMaker (or PlanMaker or Presentation respectively) and select "Always Open With" and then press "Open"
