Encrypt a file
How do you password protect a textmaker file
Re: Encrypt a file
Yes, go to File > Properties > Protection

Re: Encrypt a file
The hints on the dialog are talking about docx, doc and tmd. I venture that AES256 is used for TMDX, too.
But can you confirm this ?

Re: Encrypt a file
Second question: Why are encrypted files presented as CDFV2 ? A coincidence ?
Code: Select all
User@machine:~$ file Saint_Morice_Août_2019.docx
Saint_Morice_Août_2019.docx: CDFV2 Encrypted

Re: Encrypt a file
Can anyone advise me if text documents encrypted in MS Word 2010 can be opened in FreeOffice and vice versa?
Re: Encrypt a file
FreeOffice allows you to open and save password-protected DOCX files.
Re: Encrypt a file
Thank you very much. I will download the s/w to replace my MS Office 2010 when MS support stops.
