Save in .doc format?

Post by PapaTom »

I haven't used Textmaker in a while, but I plan to install it on my new laptop when it arrives tomorrow. I just want to be sure that I can still open AND SAVE in the .doc format, and not just the .docx format.

Can anybody confirm this?

Yes, you will be able to open and save in .doc format.

Thank you. And while I have you, I am also writing a book that will be very photo-intensive. Inserting photos and wrapping text around them is very simple in MS Word. I seem to remember it being a little more of a project in Textmaker 2016. Do you know if this is still the case in Textmaker 2018?

In TextMaker it should be better, as now it has a ribbon that's more user friendly.
You can also just drag and drop the images from windows explorer into TextMaker
