Mail Merge question
Mail Merge question
I am doing a trial of paid version. My question is when I do a merge for a particular record is there a way to save as a TextMaker document rather than a pdf so that the merged document can be edited further without affecting the underlying main document?
Re: Mail Merge question
Hi, unfortunately there's no Mail Merge functionality that generates a TextMaker document instead of a PDF.
Re: Mail Mege question
Thanks. Unfortunately that is an absolute necessity in the legal field
Re: Mail Merge question
I have submitted a feature idea to the product managers... maybe it's easy to implement and they'll accept it.
Re: Mail Merge question
A colleague of mine just alerted me that you might be asking for a different thing.
You can save the main document as template then to a file/new with this document. TextMaker opens and asks for a record to use. The record content replaces the merge fields in the document. After saving, the file is no longer connected to the database and can be edited as he likes.
This is valid for 1 record.
Is this what you wanted, or what you want is to be able to have mail merge to print many records to a TextMaker file instead of a PDF?

Re: Mail Merge question
Yes, that seems to do the trick.
