Conditional Formatting TEXT?

Post by cmcdar »

Hello,

I would like to have a negative number appear in RED text.

I have found that I can use conditional formatting to change the cell shading but have not found a way to conditionally format text color.

Is there any way to do this?

Thank you!

There is a much easier way than conditional formatting. Just press Format > Cell or Ctrl+1, select one of the numeric types and choose "Display negative numbers in red". Alternatively, you could choose a custom formatting string (described in the manual).
