opening file as readonly, no promt
opening file as readonly, no promt
Many times I open a docx , pptx file from an email or website. Since those files are not saved properly they are write only. Due to that I receive a prompt asking it ok to open as read only. I am of course okay with that as my alternative is to have the file be closed. Is there a way to disable the prompt as there is no situation where I would choose no?
Re: opening file as readonly, no promt
Are you opening the files from an network folder or directly from an e-mail? It seems that you have no write permissions on the folder where your files are.

Re: opening file as readonly, no promt
Why don't check the checkbox "Do not show this message again"?

Re: opening file as readonly, no promt
I cannot see the checkbox in this prompt. Where is the checkbox located?

Hi, I'm going to suggest a "Do not show this message again" checkbox to the product management. Let's see if they agree
