Is it possible to use a calendar in a cell?

Post by Princy557 »

Hi,
Is it possible to use a calendar in a cell, select a date from it and then just place the actual date in the cell?
If so , how?

Hi,
thanks for the reply

Well possibly, but using a calendar (month) where once you have selected the date it shows as a normal 15/03/2019 type.
Wonder if it could be done in BasicMaker, I'm not skilled enough to do that.

Just to get it across
you select a cell and a months worth of caledar pops up, you select year, month and day. than tht cell shows up as a standard date format.

It could very well come from the Insert/Form Object/Calendar Entry ???

Does it make sense what I'm trying to do?

We currently don't support that, but I will forward your idea to product management.

Just thought I'd ask if there was any move towards getting a date dropdown into a cell?
2019-2021 it's been a while.

Did that not happen in March 2019?
I would have thought it quite a useful function of the spreadsheet.
Ah well, we can live in hope.
