Two How To Questions...

Post by chuxter »

1. Is it possible to make the lines around cells either white or transparent? How?
2. Is it possible to include column and row sizes when copying a sheet to another sheet? How?

TIA...

No, but you can completely disable the sheet grid in the menu ("View").

No, and it doesn't work in MS Excel 2019 either.

Thanks Sven-l...

I looked through the choices in "View" and didn't find "sheet grid". I need a bit more help.

There are many things that don't work in MS Excel. They caused me to look for a substitute. Don't be so myopic!

In a spreadsheet, all cells in a row share the same height. All cells in a column share the same width. I think it would be quite surprising to a user if pasting something changes the height or width of totally unrelated cells.

Go to the View tab of the ribbon and uncheck the checkbo "Show sheet grid".
