styles & normal.tmv

HI,
I have a NAS where I keep a file 'normal.tmv'. This file is shared with my laptop in identical file structure and settings on my copies of Textmaker.
However after setting up a paragraph style on a document, saving it and page settings into Normal.tmv on the server. Checked and seen to have correct date and times on.
I go to the laptop and use Normal.tmv there and I can't find the styles that I set up....
What the heck am I missing?
Help or advice please.

The Normal.tmv is stored in the local user profile (in Documents\SoftMaker\Templates 2018). It seems you have made the changes with another login/profile.

I had assumedd that going to File / Options / Files and changing Template folder to 'D:\My_Shared_Files\CloudStation\Templates\English\' would have done the trick, but obviously You mean I have to change individually on each device I use??
Floating templates don't work then.
