Bookmarks anaomaly

Post by Jon Polish »

Using 2018 rev 938.1002 64 bit under Windows 7 Professional.

1. Create a bookmark and save the document.
2. Open the bookmark panel.
3. Click on the bookmark to go to the desired position in the document.
4. Delete the bookmark (go to Bookmarks in the menu and delete from there) with the bookmark panel still visible.

Result.
On system, a double arrow displays and I cannot do anything in the document. The bookmark panel is not updated to reflect the deleted bookmark. I use the drop down in the panel to go to headings and then have access to the document. When I return to the bookmark panel, I see the bookmark is deleted.

Thanks.

I could not reproduce that issue with the steps you described in TextMaker 2018 rev.938.1002 64bit in Windows 10 64bit Version 1803. Could you please attach a screenshot of that issue and maybe a sample file? Thank you!

The forum will not allow me to upload the pdf I prepared. Please download it from https://login.filesanywhere.com/fs/v.as ... 6376a86e6b.

I have assembled the screenshots in order of the steps. You can see that the bookmarks panel does not refresh until changing focus of the panel itself. In this case, I displayed Headings and then returned to Bookmarks. It was only then that the deletion was removed from the list.
