In Tools > Options > Files, I see a setting by this name. I set it to 50, because I tend to work on many, many documents at one time, and also because that setting (or higher) is available in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, etc. But the setting seems to have no effect: a maximum of 10 files is listed at the bottom of the File menu. Why not display whatever the user desires, at least up to some rather large number? Perhaps there is already a way to make this happen??? I hope so!
Also, a pull-right submenu would be most convenient here.
PS: I suppose this question applies to all four SM Office applications.
Recently used files in File menu
Re: Recently used files in File menu
Strange. I set it to 20, and the menu shows 20. I'll give it a try with 50 and look what happens.
Re: Recently used files in File menu
And I just set mine to 20 and will also see what happens. Thanks, Jossi!
Re: Recently used files in File menu
Greetings,
Using the "classic" interface, the "File" menu can be scrolled when its contents can't be completely displayed. Is it possibility that this ability may have gone unnoticed?
Just a thought.

Re: Recently used files in File menu
RKanarek, I did notice that, and thanks for the suggestion.
Jossi, I set mine to 20, per above, and 17 documents now appear. So I will continue nudging the setting upward in modest increments and observe what occurs.
