SoftMaker Updater Tool not working

Using SoftMaker Office 2018 Rev. 928.

Checked for updates and found there is a new update.

However, when I try to update I receive error: Failed to get data for 'CurrentMajorVersionNumber'.

Clicking 'OK' closed the dialog and the downloader runs with 'Connecting...." as status and never updates.

Any suggestions?

Most likely you are using Windows 8. The updater had a bug that caused it to work on every version Windows except for Windows 8.

Please download the latest full-version installer again and install from that:

http://www.softmaker.com/en/softmaker-office-download

This gives you the latest SoftMaker Office, including a compatible updater.
