Educational Version
Will 2018 also be available for free for educators? Will I have to reapply? Thanks.

Re: Educational Version
Can I get an answer to this? I don't want to start using 2018 without knowing what will be the cost of the upgrade. Thanks.

Re: Educational Version
There will be free versions for schools, universities and teachers, but it will take a bit of time to prepare everything.

Re: Educational Version
Still hoping to know when this might happen. I have a PC tablet and would love to take advantage of the 2018 edition's bigger buttons. Thanks.
Re: Educational Version
There is now a FreeOffice 2018 version which provides the opportunity to explore the ribbon interface and other features. I must say that SoftMaker's implementation of ribbons is the best that I have ever seen and is extremely flexible. This is a notable achievement by the development team. They have leapfrogged over Microsoft and others in this respect. I have been using SoftMaker Office since version 10 and each new version does seem to be better than the last - something that is not always the case these days.

Re: Educational Version
Just checking to see if an educational version is ever coming. Thanks.
Re: Educational Version
I don't think there will be an educational version for 2018. I do appreciate the educational 2016 version though. I will say that Freeoffice 2018 has the ribbon interface and I have been using it instead with absolutely no problems. The only thing I miss from the standard version is being able to open multiple docs in tabs, but the other competitors like Microsoft and Libreoffice don't do that either.
