Disable side bar

Is there any way to disable the side bar? I always check the option to hide but every time I open it the side bar is enabled again.

If you hide the sidebar (click on the small arrow button on the left side of the side bar), TextMaker should remember that setting. It is stored in one of the configuration files in C:\Users\lessmann\Documents\SoftMaker\Settings. If it does not work, Please make sure that you have write permissions on the Settings folder.
