It seems (whether it's a TextMaker or Mac system issue) does not allow tmbak files to be opened other than with a Windows version of TextMaker.
Under "Open with" the option to select TextMaker 2018 is greyed out.
Opening tmbak files
Re: Opening tmbak files
If using Ctrl-S or Cmd-S to save, it looks like the tmbak.index file is being updated but the "filename.docx.nnn.tmbak" file is not created.
Saving from the File ribbon does create a new "filename.docx.nnn.tmbak" file.
Could this be related to auto-recovery after a crash not restoring what I thought was the latest saved version (if using Ctrl-S or Cmd-S)?

Re: Opening tmbak files
I can confirm this issue and will report it to the developers.

Re: Opening tmbak files
There are two ways to open the bak files:
1. In the application, in the file open dialog, select "All files", not "All documents". Then the bak files are not greyed out and you can open them.
2. In the Finder, do not choose "Recommanded applications" but "All application". In this case you can select the SoftMaker applications to open the bak files.
