Is it possible to run both 2016 and 2018 on the same computer?
Is it possible to run both 2016 and 2018 on the same computer?
I would like to try out 2018 but I need to wait until I have finished an assignment before I can experiment with a new version of Textmaker. If both 2018 & 2016 can be installed and used independently on the same computer I won't have to wait of course.
Softmaker 2016 & 2018.

Basically it is. But there have been bug reports in the German forum that, when opening files by double-clicking from an explorer window or the desktop, sometimes the wrong program version starts. If you start the program first and open files from within the program, there will be no problems.

I've got both running on Windows 10 with no issue. I did make sure my file types under settings like doc and docx were associated with the 2018 version, so that is the one that opens those files. If I right-click on a file it only gives me the option of the newer 2018 version, but I imagine you could just open the 2016 version and load a file within it if you wanted to stick with using the 2016 version.
