What does "apply all necessary compatibility settings" do?
I have "MS Word 2007-2021 (.docx)" set as my default file format. When I go to save a file, I often see a dialog box that say: Do you want to apply all necessary compatibility settings to make this document compatible with the latest version of Microsoft Word? [ ] Do not show this warning ...

Re: Adding WordStar keyboard commands
I've finished adding WordStar keyboard shortcuts to TextMaker 2024. Documentation and my customized tm24keys.dat file (the file that contains the shortcuts) can be downloaded from my website: https://sfwriter.com/wordstar-for-textmaker-2024.zip This essentially restores the optional "Classic&qu...

Adding WordStar keyboard commands
I miss having the WordStar commands available in TextMaker; as you know, there used to be an option in older versions of TextMaker to toggle them on and off (called the "Classic" commands). I am using SoftMaker Office 2024 (the lifetime purchase version, not the by-subscription NX version)...

Where is SmartChat in the classic (not ribbon) interface?
It's under Review in the Ribbon interface, but I can't find it in the classic interface.

Re: Formatting fine under MS Office 365 but not TM 2024
With all due respect for that admirable workaround, the actual solution is for SoftMaker to fix their code. They advertise full compatibility with Microsoft Office, and I've provided an example of where they are failing to live up to that. The file displays and prints flawlessly in other Office alte...

Formatting fine under MS Office 365 but not TM 2024
I'm using TextMaker NX Universal - Beta (rev S1110.0427) 32bit. The attached file looks just fine under Microsoft Office 365, but, as you can see on page 4, the caption "British edition" and on page 6, the caption "Chinese edition" appear far to the left of where they should be (...

Any chance of a Palm OS version of TextMaker?
Is SoftMaker considering a Palm OS version of TextMaker? I wouldn't expect it to be as elaborate as other versions, but it sure would be terrific to have a program that could use the WordStar command set on Palm OS devices with keyboards (including Targus stoway keyboard, as well as Palm OS devices ...
