Re: New dark mode
Personally I do very much like the dark mode, including the dark document mode too. I know it's not to everyone's tastes, but I guess that's why it's an option. I'm an electronic design engineer and I do a lot of my design work in CAD in what could be called dark-mode, although they are simply custo...

Small error in polynomial coefficients calculation
Hi all, I absolutely love using Softmaker compared to MS Office and it's my first "port of call" for every single job now. However I noticed a strange inaccuracy when calculating polynomial coefficients using the LINEST function. See attached file. In case anyone is not familiar with polyn...

Thicker lines in graphs?
Hi all, Is it possible to increase the maximum line thickness available for graphs (in this case the X/Y Scatter). I've attached a PM2018 file that shows a graph with 2 curves plotted on it. I'd like one of the curves to be much thicker (the full sine wave one) so that is is not obscured by the one ...

Re: Corrupt formatting when saving as XLS and XLSX
Hi Miguel, Thank you for your reply. My PlanMaker is the full version (in fact I have purchased it for my work and also for home with separate licences). The version is 972.1023 (64 bit). My MS Office 2003 is version 11.8169.8172 (SP3) with the 2007 compatability pack. I've loaded your saved files i...

Corrupt formatting when saving as XLS and XLSX
Hi all, I've created a spreadsheet from scratch in PM2018 and saved it as PMDX, and also XLS and XLSX to share with colleagues. If I load the XLSX into Excel 2003 (with 2007 compatability pack) then the appearance changes drastically, the scaling of the chart changes and the vertical axis label is r...

Re: Best recommended file format
Both formats are fine, but tmdx supports some features that docx doesn't. Thanks Miguel. So if the software doesn't warn of any possible features that are lost in one format or another, is there is comparison table of features anywhere that lists all the features of the different file types so that...

Re: Accented characters
If you hold a character key down then doesn't that simply cause the keyboard auto-repeat to kick in? It does on all the programs I've ever used. The only time I see extra character options pop up is if I'm using my Android phone. Be interested to know if the Mac has a different way of providing spec...

Re: Best recommended file format
Thanks Miguel, that's good to know. I shall continue to use TMDX and PMDX as my default formats.
As a matter of interest, are any warnings given if I save my native TMDX document as a DOCX if some features in the file will be lost?
Regards,
Jez

Best recommended file format
Hi all, Is there an official view on the best file format to save documents in when using TextMaker and PlanMaker? As I've bought SoftMaker Office since 2008 then I'm happy to keep using the native TMD(and TMDX) and PMD(and PMDX) formats, but I see that SoftMaker is now advertised as using DOCX and ...

PDF export direct from TextMaker or FlexiPDF
Hi all, Does anyone have any personal preference between the built-in PDF export feature of TextMaker compared to FlexiPDF 2019? I've recently purchased FlexiPDF and it has created an icon in my TextMaker but I'm not yet sure of the relative merits of creating a PDF using that or the built-in PDF ex...
