Re: Megafont XXL 2.0
The font is the Softmaker version of the URW Deepdene font, designed, as far as I know, by F. Goudy. I don't know if it's present in Megafont XXL.

I would like to know the current name of the old D690 Softmaker font. Any idea?

Re: Font name equivalents
The available information on the Internet is outdated, because Softmaker has been modifying the names in the last years. Anyhow, I compiled it in the attached file.

Re: Plantin font?
Of course, I completely agree. Anyhow, I am socked: how it's possible to charge the amount of money Adobe, Linotype etc. charge for their fonts and not to support kerning in European accented characters!!! Obviously, this problem also affects Softmaker fonts but no comparison in terms of quality/pri...

Re: Plantin font?
I have been doing some research and I've found that Plantin fonts published by major companies don't include support for kerning European accented characters. For example, "a" has numerous kerning pairs but "á" has none. Shocking. They are useless too for me. Then, it's more hone...

Equivalent fonts in current Megafont
I would be very grateful if someone could tell me the current names of these fonts first published in the old Megafont package:
A760 Roman
D690 Roman
H790 Roman
In general, it would be very useful a concordance between both the editions, because a lot of names were changed.
Thanks.

Re: Space in Garamond Pro
The ordinal masculine and the ordinal feminine are wrong (their locations in the font are reversed) in the regular and bold styles.

Re: Space in Garamond Pro
It's necessary to create kerning pairs for the following letters too: f', ff' (ff ligature'), in all the different styles of the font.

Re: Plantin font?
Don't use "fake" bold, use the medium version as bold (and medium italic as bold italic). I suppose automatic selection of the medium version as bold depends on the software you are using (for example, Affinity Publisher does that). Anyhow, this font lacks some characters used in European ...

Re: Savoy Italic font
I have discovered that the problem reported in the first message of this thread is due to the wrong size of the space character in the italic version of the Savoy font. If the text has no spaces, the size of the regular and the italic version is the same, faithful to the original design.

Re: Can you embed MegaFont fonts into ebooks?
Fontspring sells ebooks license only for the Softmaker fonts available in that website (less than 15 euros).

Space in Garamond Pro
I have found that the space in the Garamond Pro font is too big. I have to use a 80% as maximum value to get visually acceptable results. Am I wrong?
