I might have managed to address this. In Windows' Settings, I selected 'Scroll inactive windows when hovering over them'. I don't know what the default setting should be. Strangely, no other app seems to require this setting; maybe they activate a window (sidebar) as soon as the mouse enters it.

Scrolling sidebar panels (eg, Document Map, Search, Styles) using the mouse wheel doesn't work for me. I would expect that the panels would scroll when I hover the mouse over them and rotate the wheel, but they don't. Even if I click on the sidebar first (to focus it), mouse wheel scrolling doesn't ...

I'm having this problem now and I'm desperate how to solve this as I cannot use Textmaker's other features without a connection.

Check for Updates says "It was not possible to establish a connection to softmaker.com." My version is "TextMaker 2021 (rev S1046.0405) 64bit". Turning off firewall doesn't help. TextMaker can access the internet ok; eg, hyperlinks work.

My licence (NX subscription) seems current.

The installed version seems to be 1014 whereas the latest is 1044, but 'check for updates' says there aren't any. Hopefully it will update soon.

I'd like to transfer Softmaker Office from my current (dying) PC to a new one. If I uninstall it from my old PC, will that revoke (ie, free up) a license? If not, how can I revoke the current installation?

I don't want to waste any installation keys on dead devices!

Is there any way to increase the width of a chart object beyond 57.8cm? I don't want to print the chart; I just want to see lots of data and I'm happy to scroll through it.

I just tried the 'repair' installation (via Windows Settings). Still no go.

Amendment: it did work! For some reason, the first attempt to start an app failed, but subsequent attempts have been fine.

All softmaker programs are now giving this error whener I try to start them:

I've tried rebooting, turning off filewall and antivirus, to no avail. All other programs can access the internet fine. 'Retry' always fails, and 'Cancel' closes the program.

Is there anything I can reset to get ...
