Could you add my request as well please for document comparison?
Could you tell the devs that WPS Office does it, so does Onlyoffice, so does LibreOffice - so it is getting a bit lonely for TextMaker now.

Re: "This app is blocked"
I use Google Workspace, the paid for version, not the free version. Often it is a real pain as it imposes all sorts of extra security and makes it harder to use than a personal account.

Re: "This app is blocked"
Problem solved: you need to authorise the app in the Admin Console. Dunno why, never had to do that before, but it now accesses my Drive files ok.

"This app is blocked"
I am trailing TM for Android on my tablet. I would like to link it to my Google Drive, but when I tap to log in, choose my account and click to proceed, I get a red triangle saying "This app is blocked. This app tried to access sensitive info in your Google Account. To keep your account safe, G...

Re: Google Drive & compatibility with chromebooks
OIC - so it won't run under Android but will run Linux. That's ok, I'll give it a go, thanks for the pointer,

Google Drive & compatibility with chromebooks
I am returning to this software after many years - it would be nice to have something cross-platform. On my Lenovo Chromebook Duet, it installs but when I try to log in to Google Drive, I get a warning box saying Google has blocked this app. I then tried to install on my Pixel Slate only to find tha...

Re: Device Compatability
Just answered my own question - in the Files app, you can "Share with Linux". The problem with Linux is always why they insist on such a strange interface: looking for a folder under "mnt/chromeos" is not exactly intuitive. I think I prefer the cleaner interface of the Android ve...

Re: Device Compatability
Chromebooks now represent quite a big market for Android apps - Linux is too complicated for the likes of me who just want ease of use without bothering with the command line. Plus it means buying two licences - one for Linux and one for Android as I have several Chromebooks. Plus I suppose in theor...

Re: Device Compatability
I can't help thinking you have shot yourselves in the foot on this one, I don't understand why it is limited to just one type of processor as Android uses different processors. Same problem - with joy I downloaded TM for my Lenovo last night, I was seriously thinking of standardising on this softwar...

Re: Chrome OS: when is SM going to do a version?
"I am right, you are wrong. A common scenario, these days." Actually I am unsubscribing this thread because you are either staggeringly rude or just plain weird. You wouldn't say that to my face if we met for the first time and were talking about this subject, so why write it down? As I sa...

Re: Chrome OS: when is SM going to do a version?
I love the cloud, and I love Chromium and Chrome OS, and I use G-Suite (its unfortunate modern name) for some of my work. It works just great and - if you are an ordinary user - it is free (of monetary charge). You seem to be seeing demons and devils in the cloud - I'm sure that there are unscrupulo...

Re: Chrome OS: when is SM going to do a version?
Not sure I understand - are you just saying that you don't like Chrome, or that you don't like any browser, or you don't like software working in the cloud?
Confused.
Confused.

Re: Chrome OS: when is SM going to do a version?
It does but not terribly well. For one thing it does not resize on the latest Android running with ChromeOS and secondly, scrolling is somewhat strange, you have to click on the document to stop it scrolling as you move the cursor up and down.
