Re: How to make graphs
I presume your equations have an x input and a y output. I presume the x input is the same for all three equations that you wish to compare. Make a column containing that set of x-values. Then make three columns for the y-values from the 3 equations. Turn the equations into formulae that Planmaker c...

Re: Error opening C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\FileName
I wonder if you installed the recent Windows 10 feature update? It was supposed to back up all your files to MS Onedrive, but some people found that it had simply deleted all their files. If this is the case I do not know how you get your files back.

Re: Operator AND inside function
If you enclose the two conditions being tested by the "If" statement in brackets it should work. so if((Table1.#a1<5) & (Table1.#c3<5); "Small"; "Large") should print "Small" or "Large" depending on the values in Table1. It did in my tests. Lance

Solver
I think there are several open source solvers for spreadsheets. If John W. Foreman (“Data Smart”, Wiley, 2014) is to believed some of them are better than the solver supplied with Excel (which, apparently, has been somewhat crippled in more recent versions of Excel). I wondered if it would be possib...

" If I open it in Plan Maker and then try to save it as "xlsx" it says a file by that name already exists but shows it with extension "xlsm"."

Microsoft's subscription price trap
The latest issue of Office Watch includes the following interesting remarks about the subscription option for MS office: "Microsoft has played a clever game with Office 2013 subscription pricing and the media has taken the bait with the proverbial hook, line and sinker. "Take this generall...

One more reason to appreciate Softmaker!
According to Woody's Office Watch MS has changed the licence terms for MS Office. I quote from that Newsletter's excerpt of the new licence terms: 'The direct evidence is there in the Software Licence Agreement (the SLA is the newer name of the EULA). We have a copy of the Office 2013 Software Licen...

Ah. About the size of the entire memory of a computer from the late 70s or early 80s.sven-l wrote:There is no fixed limitation. You should at least be able to insert 65536 characters into a cell in PlanMaker but I never tested it.

Largest formula you ever wrote?
I can't seem to find anything in the documentation for Planmaker about how many characters can fit in a cell. I'm sure it is more than 255 (at least in PM 2010 for Windows my experiments suggest that it is larger than 255). Wondering about this led me to wonder what the largest formula was that peop...

Misinformation in a review
There seems to be some misinformation about the necessity for Activesync on your machine before installing Planmaker in this review: http://spreadsheet-software-review.toptenreviews.com/planmaker-review.html I think this requirement is only for window mobile versions of Planmaker? (EDIT: Actually ha...
