Go to Tools > Customize and type "page" into the "Quick search" field. You may either choose "Page margins" or "Page setup" and draw the icon into the icon bar, whichever suits you better. I prefer "Page setup" as it has all the options in one dialo...

Here's what worked for me: I right-clicked the toolbar and then clicked the first option, Minimized Ribbon. Everything is now back to normal.
