Do you mean that you are setting a text frame background fill? Performing this function does not lose its attributes when saved and re-opened
If it is not text frame background fill, how are you setting text format to coloured background, please?

Re: Quirk entering dates when year not specified
If you enter 1/2 then it returns the fraction as you state but if you enter the date as 01/02 then PlanmakerNX or Planmaker 2024 inserts the date correctly. As you noted the format you have was yyyy/mm/dd so Planmaker looks for the data to be four digits for year, 2 digits for month and 2 digits for...

Re: Paste Without Formatting
I'm using Office 2024 NX and tonight I found I could not paste unformatted text, either using Alt + Ctrl + V and selecting Unformatted text and using ANY of the 3 paste modes or by using the ribbon command Paste unformatted text. Every time the original formatting is replicated. I tried adding Paste...

Re: Another Strange Extra Step Thing.
Planmaker 2024 NX is not the only programme which automatically assumes that if you open a CSV file and go to Save As option then you will want to save as CSV and thus if you want to save it as, say, an XLSX file, you will have to select it from a dropdown list. Libre Office 7.5.3.2 does exactly the...

Re: Graphic appearing on top of text
If I amend Picture Properties to 'Fix on Page' the picture is displayed above the margin. To display it as I assume Word does (I could only try out the original document in Libre Office as I don't use Word) with the Picture within the margin I applied 'Fix on Page' and Vertical Offset of 1.25 cm. No...

Great way to very quickly start a new file.

Re: SmartChat
Asked SmartChat to produce a medium length story with topic Which is better, Microsoft Word or Softmaker Textmaker. The result, in under 30 seconds, was 251 words long with the conclusion In conclusion, both Microsoft Word and Softmaker Textmaker are excellent word processing software options. The c...

SmartChat
Just tried out SmartChat on filler text in Beta Softmaker Office 2024 (rev S1111.0529) 64bit. On a new document I typed =rand() to generate filler text, selected the generated text and asked SmartChat to summarize it The result came back almost immediately and reads The text describes a fictional pl...

Re: Portable installation?
I have downloaded the Softmaker Office 2024 beta. Can the beta edition be installed on a USB drive so I can work with it when I'm away from my main computer? If so, how do I do it and what size USB stick do I need? Thanks. Running usb.exe from Program Files\Softmaker OfficeNX takes less than 5mins ...

Re: Table ruler display
Thank you. Tested that out on a table and can now move and size table easily. Basically my mistake as I'd found about the four way arrow at the top of page 226 but hadn't realised that the bottom of the previous page said 'Furthermore, Selecting the option Surrounding has the following different eff...

Even if you create a matching table (number of rows and columns) and try pasting into that. The result will simply be text pasted in cell A1

Re: lookup() function bug?
Just a small point; If the command is typed in as shown in the example =LOOKUP(3;A1:A3;B1:B3) ,Planmaker will report an error in formula Invalid characters.
The formula should read =LOOKUP(3,A1;A3,B1:B3) in order to work (manual, page 682, Syntax LOOKUP(Crit, LookupVector, ResultVector)

Do you know how to access this function when using the classic menu? You can customize your toolbar (Tools...
