Activation without PlayStore
I noticed several people are installing SoftMaker apps in Android devices without Google (I saw a Huawei and a Kindle). I use E-foundation, and plenty of people use Lineage OS and other android mods. Murena is selling De-Google phones from the beginning, so that there are no issues with rooted devic...

Re: Improvement to Search & Replace function
Totally agree. I would suggest that “loop search” were the default option. I would add that I miss an option for searching—or replacing—within the selected text only. Having it would be nice, and I think that enabling it by default would be a welcomed improvement. Also, I agree that getting back to ...

Non-responding area after adding a large number of comments
After adding numerous comments and track-changes corrections on a single page, the balloons at the bottom appear in gray, their titles are overlapped, and are unclickable: Screenshot from 2023-04-15 20-29-34.png This happens when the “Show in the pane” and “Show” options are enabled, in the Review s...

Spanish (Modern) dictionary not installed by default alongside other dictionaries of the same language
I installed TextMaker in English, but I am a bilingual English-Spanish user. Today, I received a document in Spanish from a colleague, and the software asked to install Spanish dictionaries, as intended. Then, I noticed that all the words in the document were underlined in red. I checked in Options,...

Typing lag when there are too many words on a table
An organization submitted me a .docx file that I have to fill. All the text in that file is inside a table with few cells (I suggested the organization to use borders instead, but they said that for now I have to use the document as they made it.) After typing a while inside the table, I noticed a l...

Re: Opening dotx templates from file manager
It’s working now! I’m not sure what was the problem, but after the last SMO update, now I can use dotx files as expected. I guess it was a misconfiguration in my system. Thank you.

Re: Can TextMaker automatically convert two hypehns to an em dash?
Hello Eric, Do you mean getting the en-dash by writing two dashes and then hitting space? It can be configured as a Smart Text entry. You can find it under the “Insert” tab. There is also a shortcut for entering en-dashes visible under the “Character” option. The way I insert it is by using the comp...

Opening dotx templates from file manager
I use dotx files (with “t”) to save my templates. That way, I can copy them in a USB stick and use them in other computers. Also, dotx files are useful for sharing my templates with colleagues. When I double click a dotx file in a file manager, the expected behaviour is that the word processor opens...

Problem replacing links inside a table
Let’s say that I create a table, type in a cell “www.firstlink.com” and hit enter. TextMaker automatically creates the correspondent hyperlink (what I typed is now blue and underlined.) Next, I delete the content of the cell, for instance, with ctrl+a and del, and type in the same cell “www.secondli...

Back from Bookmark
After ctrl+click a link that heads to a bookmark, is it possible to go back to the position of the link I clicked in the first place?
This might be a very simple question, but so far I could not find how to do it.

Re: No Workable Citations in Zotero Transferred Documents
Thank you for your reply. The problem I have when I open the .odt file in TextMaker is that there are no workable citations in it, that is, the Zotero plugin in TextMaker does not recognize the citations I added in LibreOffice. Perhaps I am missing a step? Regarding the Zotero file you are requestin...

No Workable Citations in Zotero Transferred Documents
I wrote a paper using LibreOffice and Zotero in Linux. Then, I followed these instructions to convert it to MS Word: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/moving_documents_between_word_processors. This process creates a .docx document with all the citations converted into code. Also, it appends a messag...
