Re: Hyperlink text color

You can. Just duplicate the slide colour scheme, edit, and change according to your needs, then apply to the desired slides.

To duplicate the colour scheme, simply select your current scheme and click on "New scheme"

Re: Nested quoting marks

Indeed, the issue is that there are no option for smart quotes in Spanish and the auto option does just what I reported. I suppose then that I should request that smart quotes support is added to TextMaker.

Edit: For not I have set smart quotes to work as in English, while manually using « ». This ...

Nested quoting marks

When language is set to Spanish, quoting marks are set incorrectly when they are nested. For example:

«Antonio me dijo: «Vaya «cacharro» que tiene Julián»».

That's wrong. The correct way would be:

«Antonio me dijo: “Vaya ‘cacharro’ que tiene Julián”»

Meaning that when you nest the order is ...

Format and styles in comments

When saving to ODT, all formatting and styles applied to comments, including the default «comment text» is ignored and «Normal» is used instead.

Step to reproduce:

1. Add a comment to text
2. Add formatting or any style
3. Safe as ODT.
4. Close the file
5. Load the ODT file

Re: How to set default date to DD/MM/YYYY ??

Use: DATE(YYYY;MM;DD).
If that's what you are using or is displaying incorrectly then check your desktop localization or date/time formats.

Re: Megafont NOW equivalent?

As far as I know, no, there is not any look-a-like to Felix Titling.

Remember that when it comes to fonts there are no equivalents. There are look-a-likes but drop-in replacements are not a thing.

Felix Titling seems to be available for free, anyway. Not sure about terms of use, however.

Re: BUG: Install returns "file not found"

Bazzlite is simply a themed Fedora. This is why it makes me think is a Discover/PackageKit issue and why he should install SMO using dnf. If the rpm is corrupted or something then we will know. Those UI's, like Discover usually, when there is an issue with the package simply give a generic error ...

Re: Strange problem

This seems to be an issue related to Linux Mint. Apparently their latest release had issues when people did an upgrade. It does not have anything todo with SoftMaker. If this was the case then people who use Ubuntu and Debian (the distributions that Mint uses as abase) would have been reporting ...

Re: BUG: Install returns "file not found"

Install it using the package manager via a terminal, not an UI like discover to know what the problem really is.

Re: Basic Sans and Basic Roman are not metrically compatible with Times New Roman (TNR) and Arial

I do not think Basic Sans and Basic Roman are meant to be metrically compatible with Times New Roman and Arial. Most likely they are closer to Sans and Sans Serif than anything else.

My God, that has nothing to do with "trash the file." We aren't talking about the occasional page break issue, we are talking failure to load .

The issue here is mostly about bad software. I make that statement as a software developer with 4 decades in the field developing software for Midrange ...

Re: Print as/Save as/Export : monochrome TIF

Depends on the uses. As the production of PDF from tiff is easier or has been considered for longer than with other image formats, I still prefer it as an intermediate file format. As regards long-time storage of photos, without compression, tiff is the closest to most of the proprietary raw ...

Re: Editing Services

Yes, a good editor should be able to adjust to the editorial style required by the client. In my experience, the "big three" in the United States are the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS), the Associated Press (AP) style book, and the APA style book.

True. But that's not the issue here. The ...
