Starting two documents from the command line
PROBLEM STATEMENT I do most of my work in the command-line environment. In Windows, I start TextMaker sessions via the following batch file: call start C:\"Program Files"\"SoftMaker Office 2018"\TextMaker.exe %1 The problem arises when I try to open two documents which are in two...

Command-line option to start in New Program Window
Hello. I am using SoftMaker 2018 (licensed). I need to work on two documents in *separate* windows, to compare, copy from one to the other, etc. I start edit sessions from the command line, and have for years. I use this command file: /usr/bin/textmaker18 $1 2>/home/admin1/pub/tmaker.log & When ...

Re: Entering tab in a table cell
This quick response is very highly appreciated. This is embarrassing. I had assigned the CTRL-TAB combination myself in TextMaker to another operation. This was some time ago and I had forgotten. Had to reacquaint myself with the shortcut-assignment dialog in TextMaker; just realized what has happen...

Entering tab in a table cell
Sorry if this is a non-issue, but I cannot enter a tab in a table cell. I have some text, and a tab mark in the ruler is definitely farther ahead, but CTRL-TAB does absolutely nothing. Tab alone takes me to the next cell. ALT-TAB takes me to the next window. Shift-TAB takes me to the previous cell. ...

Re: Cannot type into search box in RTL language
Thanks for your help, Sven! This was indeed the problem. For readers who might face the same situation, these are the details: The default Ubuntu font is 'Ubuntu.' It does not contain Hebrew characters. I used the 'Tweaks' program > Fonts, to change the 'Interface' font to FreeSans Regular, which is...

Re: Cannot type into search box in RTL language
Hello Sven, and thanks for your answer. I am not sure what you mean by 'system font.' As you can see in the attached screen shot, the document itself is in Hebrew. Only the search box shows small rectangles instead of letters. Typing in Hebrew works perfectly. Even the search works, *IF* you do not ...

Cannot type into search box in RTL language
I set up TextMaker with support for Arabic so as to be able to type right-to-left. There is no option to set it up for Hebrew, but Hebrew does appear as an option in Format > Character > Language for complex script. I selected it there. I am able to type in Hebrew with no problem. However, when I tr...
