For a long time, that was a blocking omission. I just bought another subscription.
Feature Request: place the Documents/SoftMaker folder in Users/username/Library/Application Support folder on Mac; AppData\Local on Windows and as .SoftMaker folder in user’s folder in Linux.

Re: Feature Request
I'm not surprised at all. Cross-platform development is difficult, and SoftMaker does run really fast on macOS. Thank you again for your response.

Feature Request
I would like non-contiguous text selection in TextMaker, preferably in conjunction with the Command key. I realize this might not be possible, due to whatever text engine you are using. Pages has this same problem, seeing as it has to be cross-platform with iOS, as well as macOS.
Thank You.
Thank You.

Re: .TMDX is a superset of .DOCX:
I just saved a .DOCX document as .TMDX, renamed it as .DOCX and TextEdit opened it perfectly on my Mac.
So there! <grin>

Re: basic file format choice
Thanks, Miguel.
I've decided to go to Microsoft's formats, simply because I may need them somewhere else in my life. Softmaker's been around long enough, they're not going to disappear, thankfully.

basic file format choice
Should one use the native SoftMaker file formats, or use Microsoft file formats? Criterion for using either set of formats? (For collaboration purposes, I'm well aware that Microsoft is the best choice in the US. Is it so in other countries?) But, when would one choose the native SoftMaker formats? ...
