Martin, thank you for the hint. I was able to resolve this by deleting all lines beginning with "DOWNL1" This allowed me to download and update to the latest 64 bit build.
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Re: Incorrect update
1. Please determine if you have the file "portable.txt" in the SoftMaker program folder on the stick. 2. Ensure that you are running SoftMakerUpdaterTool from the stick and not from the local install. 3. Post the contents of your updater.ini file here. portable.txt is in the proper locati...

Incorrect update
I am running the 64 bit portable version build 1024.Tried to update to the latest build (1030) but noticed the download says the 32 bit version was being downloaded. Obviously I don't want that, so I terminated the download. Tried again and got the same message. Besides relying on a full install and...

Re: Updating the portable version
I already updated by downloading the latest msi and created another portable install. If this has not been fixed by the next update, I will gladly post a screenshot. But if you expect the screenshot to tell you any more that I originally said ("No valid products found. Please repair the install...

Re: Updating the portable version
Thank you, but in 2018 updating could be run from the portable version. In very early versions of 2018 this did not work but it was fixed. Why can't this work in 2021?

Updating the portable version
The portable version of Office 2018 checked for new service packs, downloaded them and installed the update. Very simple and efficient. For some reason, Office 2021 build 1016 does not allow this. It alerts me to the service pack but aborts with the message, "No valid products found. Please rep...

Merge questions
I need to produce a report of a dbf within a larger document. In other word processors there is an option "Next Record." This allows multiple records to appear in the same document. I cannot find this option in TextMaker. A related question. Can I use two or more databases in different are...

Data form from LibreOffice
Hi:
Is there an equivalent to LibreOffice's "Data Form?" This permits data entry with a form. The user does not have to continually scroll horizontally and once done with record 1, can go to record 2 (and so on).
Thank you.

Re: Paragraph borders
I think I found a clue to my specific problem, although I agree that paragraph borders are prone to problems. In my case the document was originally created in MS Word and I was applying borders to it using TextMaker. I now see why this problem cannot be replicated in TextMaker alone. When I create ...

Re: Paragraph borders
No. It exhibits the same behavior. The single 0.5 point lines become 3 point double lines.
