Any chance of enabling MacOS reader to work with Textmaker 2024? All that happens when you try is that the file name is read out.

The simplest app like TexEdit is able to read the document so why can't Textmaker, what is preventing it?

Well that's a pain, especially as there is a good speech engine built into MacOS, even the basic 'TextEdit' of MacOS can access it, what is preventing Softmaker doing the same, I mean it reads the file name alright, why not the rest of the page?

How does one activate the text reader please?

I doubt there will be a fix as the latest version is 2021 and they are probably working on 2022 version right now.

I don't suppose you can. Once you have used a DTP you realise how limited a word-processor is - you don't have to be a professional to appreciate that. I don't know what your purpose for this text is, but I would nuke the entire document in Notepad, or your plain text editor of choice - mine is Notepad++.
