Re: Wish list for future versions of SMO
I only just found out that the reply above had been posted! The email notification about the reply got caught by my webmail spam filter but I use a local email client, so the webmail interception went unnoticed until now. Anyway -- thank you for the news regarding most of the suggestions on the list...

Re: SMO 2024 text unreadable on Windows 11
Thank you, I did restart TextMaker and the visuals were fine then. Not sure what could cause them to look so strange on first launch.

Re: Wish list for future versions of SMO
I finally got the chance to send you the information you requested -- my apologies for the delay. I am sending, by e-mail, an old edited manuscript file that I have permission to share with you. I am also sending a screen recording (in .MP4 format) illustrating issue #1 regarding how the text that I...

SMO 2024 text unreadable on Windows 11
I just installed SoftMaker Office 2024 on a Windows 11 system. After entering the license key, the Welcome document opened, and this is what it looks like on my screen: https://i.imgur.com/uBcSvbw.png As you can see, the menu items are almost completely illegible, and the text in the document is fai...

Wish list for future versions of SMO
I just installed and started testing TextMaker Professional 2024. While the new version has many welcome new features and improvements, some things remain to be fixed that I hope will be addressed in the near future. Here they are: 1. Keep the cursor location when switching back and forth from "...

Re: "Attach as Email" function
Miguel, I appreciate the straightforward reply (no excuses!). Thanks very much. This will help me decide how to proceed. I'll probably go ahead and make use of this week's special offer for FlexiPDF 2022.

"Attach as Email" function
In FlexiPDF Pro 2019 (version 2.1.0), there is a bug in the "Attach as Email" function that leaves MS Outlook 2019 unresponsive. I'm curious to know, has this issue been resolved in FlexiPDF 2022? Here is a screenshot of the dialog box indicating the problem: PDF email test Flexi.png (Emai...

Improvement to Search & Replace function
A function that I've found to be clunky in earlier versions of TextMaker is that searching for a word in a document only looks until the end of the document, instead of wrapping back around to the beginning to continue the search. The upshot is that if you're working on a long document (hundreds of ...

Has the type quality improved in FlexiPDF 2022?
I've had FlexiPDF dating back to 2017 and currently have the 2019 version on my computer, but I rarely use it for a single, all-important reason: the type is not nearly as sharp as what I see when the same PDF files are opened on either Acrobat or Foxit PhantomPDF. The edges of the letters look fuzz...

Re: Can't see images in .DOC files
Thanks for the information. I had never even heard of .EMF files! The file format for the images is not under my control, I will have to ask the author to fix it.

Thank you, I sent sample pages from the file this morning to the address you gave.
Looking forward to hearing back from the SM team.

Re: Can't see images in .DOC files
The .DOC file came to me with the images already in it, so I don't know the format of the images themselves. But I can share sample pages containing images. To what address at SoftMaker should I send the samples? (It has to be a private delivery to SoftMaker for their analysis, I can't simply post t...

Can't see images in .DOC files
I'm working on a manuscript that includes illustrations. I am using TextMaker Professional 2018 (version S978.0905). The trouble is, the images are not showing up. The spaces for them are there, and the text flows around these spaces, but the images themselves are not visible. In some cases, there i...

Re: Dead key support
Huh, this doesn't work for me. When I type ^ and then o, I simply get ^o. XIM is indeed enabled (Tools --> Options --> Use XIM).
Tried this on TM for Linux version 974 a few minutes ago, and then again on 976 after installing the new service pack. I'm on Kubuntu 18.04 LTS.

Re: MS Word claims TM file corrupted
Hi miguel-c,
I can confirm that the latest Service Pack fixed the issue with the comments disappearing when saving the .DOCX file in .DOC format.
Thank you very much to yo uand to the softMaker team for taking care of this issue!
