Re: Software expired
And how do you download the latest one? The general thread that had links to the new downloads: https://forum.softmaker.com/viewtopic.php?f=437&t=23076 simply says for linux Linux: If you have installed SoftMaker Office via the repository, it will update automatically. You can also choose ? | Ch...

Re: Software expired
Yes, but how do you get the updated version? In the main thread, it says to do the ? > check for updates, but since the existing version expired, this isn't possible. So it's impossible to update.

Re: Installation successful
I have now also successfully tested on EndeavourOS (Arch linux) on a Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen2 AMD. I did have to uninstall the prior Softmaker installation and manually clean up a few files in order to get it to work, or I'd get the same error as the other posters who are on Arch. On a related note,...

Re: Installation failed
What distro are you installing this on? I got this error at first when attempting to update the AUR package for the beta to install that way, but have since fixed it so that I have a working AUR package for the beta just in case you prefer AUR over the install script and are running Arch.

Re: Installation successful
Checked installation on an OpenSUSE Tumbleweed on my primary laptop (Lenovo T14s Gen3 AMD) install also, same thing. Installation proceeded without incident, and all applications worked after installation. I will also check on KDE Neon and EndeavourOS (Arch Linux) when time permits.

Installation successful
Just got it installed on my desktop (B450 board, 3700X) with no issues. No errors, and all 3 apps launch without issue. Debian 12 (bookworm).

Re: De-activation
Continued working on it, and got it resolved myself. Re-uninstalled, redeleted the Softmaker directory, but then also did a find on the entire filesystem. Deleted some directories from /etc and /usr/. After reinstalling freeoffice again, it correctly allows me to put in a freeoffice key!

De-activation
So, I bought a new T14s Gen3 AMD. Since I'm at my license limit for simultaneous installations of Softmaker Office, I want to DE-activate my license on my T14 Gen1 AMD (already uninstalled and installed freeoffice instead) so that I can register my FreeOffice install. I deleted my ~/.Softmaker direc...

SoftMaker 2021 upgrade question
So I see that the softmaker Windows folks are getting free software with an upgrade. I don't have a Windows license, so cannot use Windows software, so the offer of free Windows software is meaningless to me...is there going to be anything bundled with the linux version to entice us to upgrade?

Re: Cannot insert Pivot Tables
I don't think anything has changed in this regard. Care to explain what you mean? Been a while since I did pivot tables in SoftMaker, but in 2016 I SWEAR I remember you could simply click the upper left to select all (like in WPS, LibreOffice, O365, OnlyOffice, etc do it) then insert > pivot table ...

Re: Cannot insert Pivot Tables
You can't just select all cells like in the past? This is a poor change, guess I know I won't be purchasing SoftMaker again!!
Thanks for your assistance, now I know to uninstall SoftMaker and use WPS instead. You saved me several licenses cost every couple years by breaking that functionality!!

Cannot insert Pivot Tables
Whenever I try to insert a pivot table into any spreadsheet, I get an error "At least one field name is missing. Check the top cells in the source range." Doing the same thing on MS Offfice, LibreOffice, OpenOffice, or WPS Office works as expected (new sheet with a pivot table created). La...
