Re: version numbers
OK. Please allow me to repeat back and expand to make sure I understand. The version shown on the download pages is the official release and different from the beta version. So, 1064 and 1111 (or 1112 now) is a later beta version. The release number now from a new beta release that came out a few da...

version numbers
I just updated the beta version of NX to the latest version. This reminded me of a long-standing issue I have with softmaker version numbers. I look at the version number in my dpkg listing under debian/bullseye/11.7, for softmaker nx, I see "3334". I look at the "about softmaker"...

S & P
This issue has been bothering me for years now with the softmaker products. With this beta version of softmaker nx, I think it is now appropriate to speak out about it. It may seem trivial, I agree, but it is very basic. When I look at the three icons that are pushed to start the software, T, S, and...

Re: no beta software download link provided to me
I posted a similar question to general tech support for Softmaker. It turns out, I got no notice at all about the location of the download. I was apparently supposed to know that for a beta-test installation for LInux, I was supposed to look for the beta-test installation instructions for the Window...

no beta software download link provided to me
Hello, I was invited, I accepted, and I am here now on this forum as expected. However, I just thought of this tonight, I checked my emails, and no invitation to actually download the beta software was sent. I see from the messages that the beta test has started. It is going to be difficult to test ...

Re: SMO2018/2021 clash with 'apt-get update'
The name "wheezy" in our repository has no meaning whatsoever. While historically it was set by us to indicate compatibility with Debian Wheezy, it can be any arbitrary name, even pretzel or sauerkraut :-) We cannot change it anymore because the add_apt_repo.sh script references it. I hea...

Re: SMO2018/2021 clash with 'apt-get update'
Same error and message here. While at it, perhaps with Debian anyway, the folder name "wheezy" is very much out of date. The current release is "buster" and some release in between also. Debian is released approximately every 2 years. Check update from the app directly works fine.
